If you only have a few days to spend in the city our holiday apartment is perfectly placed to ensure that you can make the most of your stay without having to spend time walking or driving into the centre.

Our suggested key highlights include:

Historic

Chester Cathedral: a popular Chester landmark located just under 100m away from the apartment. Allow about 1 hour for your visit.

Walk around the historic walls: Eastgate clock and access to the Roman walls is 100m away from our apartment. Spend approximately 1.5 hours walking around the walls and taking in the historic city.

Roman remains: the Roman gardens and amphitheatre are close by.

Dewa Roman Experience: visit this museum to find out about Chester’s history (a couple of hours).

Red bus: If you don’t fancy walking around the city, Chester’s sightseeing bus takes you on a 60 minute hop on hop off tour of the city.

Relaxation

Chester Rows: browse the boutique shops whilst taking in the unique historic Rows.

Half day Spa visit: the Grosvenor Spa is less than 100m away from our apartment.

Cafes and restaurants: there is plenty of choice of chain and independent operators within the city centre for a stop off for cake and coffee.

Pubs and bars: whether you are looking for a traditional pub or a sophisticated wine bar there is plenty of choice within the city centre.

Theatre: The Storyhouse theatre and cinema is a 5 minute walk away.

Activities

Trip on the river Dee: 30 minute or 2 hour trips operate from near the Old Dee bridge, a 10 minute walk away.

Chester races: if you are lucky enough to be visiting during a racing fixture then spending the afternoon at the races is a great experience.
